As a home finder / buying agent, I act solely for you, the buyer.

I aim to provide you with a stress free, bespoke home finding service by providing the following to all my clients:

Initial Consultation & Property Search

Upon detailed discussion with you, either in person (where time and location allow) or via telephone, I will confirm your requirements and then activate a property search within your chosen location of Somerset.

Property Visits & Reports

I will visit the properties that match your requirements and vet them for suitability. I will make written and photographic documentation of the properties and their grounds and their village or town. I will speak to the agents selling the properties, so as to be informed of the vendors' situation and any other relevant information. I will then report back to you.

Having prioritised the order of suitable properties to be viewed, I will then liaise with the agents, book the appointments and accompany you on the viewings. I will note and investigate any queries that you might have and report back to you.

Price Negotiation

Upon successfully finding your 'home to be', I will negotiate on your behalf to get you the best possible price.

Purchase Management

I will then liaise with the agent, vendor, surveyor and solicitors to ensure the purchase progresses smoothly.

Local Trades Advice

In addition, as I live in Somerset and am therefore a local buying agent, I can provide details of local reputable professionals/ trades: architects, removals firms, interior or garden designers, stone masons, builders, computer consultants, farriers etc.

My earliest Somerset memories are of lovely long summers on the hammock with my father learning the names of butterflies, on the swing trying to knock plums off, and walking the quiet lanes with my mother and dog finding treasures. My father’s new job took us to Middlesex. I returned 30 years later with my family, with first hand knowledge of how time consuming and wearing it is, zooming down the A303 with 3 children under 10, to view a property new to the market before anyone else, largely to be disappointed!

10+ years on - using my experience in the recruitment industry matching executives to jobs, I initially helped several friends and acquaintances move to Somerset, so it seemed only natural to become a professional home finder/buying agent. Over the years I have made contacts with many estate agents, solicitors, surveyors and architects and generally get pre market notice, as well as off market properties, whether directly approached by vendors or their agents.
